Beyond the wet mount: Are traditional screening methods for vaginitis optimal in today's evidence-based practice?

Welcome to our practitioner focused educational tutorial on reproductive tract infections.

In Part 2 of her presentation, Dr Jill Huppert, an Associate Professor of pediatrics and obstetrics and gynecology at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, will review the evidence linking vaginal infections and health outcomes to understand the benefits and limitations, for example, sensitivity and specificity, of new diagnostic point-of-care tests, and to discuss the implication of these tests on screening and treating vaginitis.

Throughout this presentation, and again at the conclusion, you will have the opportunity to request additional information and follow-up from your local Genzyme Diagnostics representative about the OSOM® Trichomonas Rapid Test and BVBLUE® Test.
